Description

The Ventura County Fusion is an established franchise within the Premier Development League (PDL), in the United Soccer League (USL). The PDL is a training ground for the best up and comers in the sport, and has become the development ladder for Major League Soccer (MLS), USSF Div 2, English Premier League (EPL) and other top leagues around the world. Fusion players include current and former US National Team Players, NCAA Division I players and former professional players. The Ventura County Fusion have become well known through out the world of soccer for hosting and playing teams such as Burnley and Everton of the English Premier League, Hammarby and Gais of the Swedish 1st Division, Oita Trinita of the Japanese J-League and seven different MLS teams including the past two MLS Champions, Real Salt Lake and Columbus Crew, as well as the first public match in franchise history for the Seattle Sounders. Top-level quality soccer is alive and striving in Ventura County, and the Fusion is committed to stimulating and maintaining a mutually beneficial environment for all soccer players and fans in the county.
